Jadu Sheridan. Worcester based Artist in the UK.

I am a wife, mother of two children and owner of a rescue beagle, Betty, from Evesham Dogs Trust. To date I have experienced an unusual and interesting life (at least to my family!). Born in Rhodesia before it became Zimbabwe, I moved to England aged 5, then spent several years living in a cabin on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, before moving back to England, where I now live.  I studied Art up to A level but then pursued a career in Science, working in a Biochemistry laboratory in hospital before having children, then spending several years as a Primary School teacher.

After many years working in schools I came to realize that my passion was art; something I didn't have time for with an increasingly busy life! My family and I took the decision that I give up teaching to experiment with my creative side.  I immediately adopted Betty from the Dogs Trust and I now spend much of my day walking with her; gathering inspiration from nature and then working on various projects. I now spend my days doing something I really love! I am inspired by the countryside and nature, although I experiment with many other topics such as still life and animals.

Currently working from my dining room at home, I use a variety of media, including: acrylic, ink, watercolour and pencil. I am also experimenting with using other techniques for printing and painting. Thanks to a supportive husband and children I am now able to explore new techniques and paint, in a somewhat messy dining room full of resources, to my hearts content! I am very blessed.
